What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

Big Meat BBQ uses our extensive experience and passion for food to deliver a first class service to you, we approach the planning of each event as if it was our own special day, and strive to make sure everything is perfect. With regards to what we need from you initially, we of course need to know number of guests, location, venue facilities, date and outline of your plan. Then that's when we come alive.. Food is our passion so we start by talking to you about your ideas and sharing ours with you, then once we have a draft outline of your menu and you wish to proceed, we arrange to meet you so that we can really get to understand what food you like and your specific tastes.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Take time to talk to the caterer, people who are good at their job are generally passionate about food and get very excited when telling you about what they can offer you. Ask lots of questions, they do know what they are talking about!

Don't be afraid to tell them what you like the taste of and equally what you don't like, a good supplier listens and understands the client's needs, and a genuine supplier will surprise you with the alternatives they bring to you, experience and personal input from an enthusiastic chef is worth its weight in gold.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

BigMeatBbqs owner and Chef Dave Stewart is passionate about cooking, and specialises in a full range of authentic seasoned Caribbean cuisine accompanied by every single side dish you could imagine. The key to Dave's success started by him both designing and building his own barbeque grill smokers (these will barbeque, roast, smoke, & grill everything) secondly he only buys top quality fresh produce (usually collected on same day or day before your event).

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have only recently joined the site - however we have thoroughly enjoyed creating both our information pieces about what we do as well as our full range of menus which we can tailor for all the events we attend.

We happily recommend Add to Event to other traders, and recently we have included another service Babs Barnyard Mobile petting farm which will compliment. We are looking forward to continuing to work with AddtoEvent and enjoy meeting all our new customers.
