What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To be honest, we would love to give a comprehensive quote in the first instance, however each organiser/client is unique and as such we try to get as much information as possible. Prior to submitting a quote, we usually ask to know the basics; the number of guests planned for, the colour scheme and the decor theme preferred by the client. We ask to know the start and finish time of event so that we are able to determine set up and tear down times. Some clients usually have a clear idea of the decor style they would like to have while some clients need a little help with making a decision. We believe that speaking with a client is really important as this personalises each experience and gives us a clear understanding of their likes, personalities, and style - all put together to provide individually tailored quotes for their event.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If I was an organiser, I would first of all state specifically and clearly the services I require. I would then source providers with those specific services. I usually love to see previous decor jobs that the provider has done. This gives me a good idea of the quality of work they are able to provide.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I have spent the last 5 years as a mum, attending to my 3 young children and family. Life just went by and my passion for decorating and planning took back seat. It was tricky trying to secure a job that would still give me time to take care of my family. I gradually found my way back to what I loved doing! I am so thankful for my family's support and that one friend who constantly kept encouraging me!!
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I have had amazing experiences using Add to Event! To name just one would be tricky but I recall a recently secured booking for a Pre-Wedding Party in Stevenage. The client had a picture of what they wanted to have and we just helped build on that idea. We provided the client with a unique and bespoke decorated flower wall with drapes. We also draped the walls of the venue and created a stunning blue and cream coloured balloon garland adorned with flowers. The clients were ecstatic and recommended us for a forthcoming wedding event. I keep recommending Add to Event to all suppliers I know in this industry!
