The Travelling Chef

We hired the Travelling Chef for our wedding. Communication from start to finish was great.
Jo and the team were friendly and professional, and went above and beyond.
Everyone commented how delicious the whole meal was.

We had a family lunch for 15 in the communal lounge of my mum's sheltered housing complex. It has a small and basic kitchen, including one cooker. Jo sent us an imaginative menu of 6-7 starters, main courses and accompaniments, and desserts, and on the day he and daughter Aidan magically prepared and plated the various combinations of choices and served them to the seated guests. Jo was friendly, relaxed and helpful, for example helping us set the table and move furniture. He supplied all crockery and cutlery and took it away at the end and left the kitchen spotless. We were able to enjoy our day with no concerns about the catering. We would use The Travelling Chef again for a similar event. Highly recommended!

Great communication and brilliant food

The food delivered by Jo and his daughter at our event was sublime. The delicious food platters went down a storm with my guests and the service was great. I’d totally use The Travelling Chef again!

The highlight of our Christmas break at The Colloquy White Heron Properties was hiring Jo,the Travelling chef to provide canapes and then a full ChristmasDinner for 12 people.
The food was superb with some added different dishes.We had a variety of desserts which were delicious.
Jo was very friendly ,informative ,approachable and obviously enthusiastic about his craft.
Communication was brilliant from the original booking to the actual dinner. The chef arrived promptly giving him adequate time for preparation and cooking.
He used his own crockery etc and took away to wash Amazing-a stressfree Christmas Dinner

We had J for our Xmas party for 40 people at Dartmoor Whisky Distillery Bovey Tracey.
He had no kitchen to work with he bought everything so no need to worry about anything.

From start to finish J was amazing, he was early the food was fantastic and his daughter was lovely as well. Everyone had a fantastic time and enjoyed the food so much.

Would recommend every time.

Arranged for travelling chef to cater for a small family birthday event. We were surprised and amazed with the huge menu option and the fact that we could order so many variations (ie, we weren’t stuck to a set menu).

Great communication leading up to event. Caterers arrived on time, prepared everything seamlessly and food was great.

Jo & Hannah were amazing! The food was delicious and expertly served. There was 13 of us and Jo catered for all our individual choices and dietary requirements. He worked professionally and quietly in a kitchen he hadn’t even seen before the event and left it totally spotless. I would 100% recommend The Travelling Chef! Thank you Jo & Hannah x
